After we left, the work was continued by our friends. A couple of weeks later Edgar (our guide, project leader, and general saint) forwarded to us these pictures. As a group our hearts celebrated.
I think often of Lewis who now comes home from school and can do his homework quietly and safely in his own room. Remarkably, I am now Facebook friends with him! Amazing!
Life can get a little crazy, no matter where you are on the globe. When my days get overwhelming and my thoughts turn bleak, I remember those days on that mountainside, and I picture myself drinking cool water on that new porch...and my soul is renewed.I am so thankful to have been there. Our tickets are booked for August of this year. We will see you soon mi amigos!
